Dr. Moshe Ran, CEO and founder
Moshe Holds BSc. from Ben-Gurion University [78], MSc [84] and PhD [97] from Tel Aviv University Israel, all in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Ran has 30 years' experience in state of the art communications systems. He has vast experience in development and leadership of R&D groups in several communication topics including: broadband access technologies, wireless communications including 3G/4G/5G, Short-range communications with focus on Ultra-wideband (UWB) technologies and visible light communications (VLC), hybrid fiber-wireless, green communications, error correction codes and algorithms to improve performances of communications systems.
Moshe is the founder and the general manager of MostlyTek Ltd since 2001. He has been involved with MostlyTek Ltd. in several collaborative academy-industry joint ventures in the national (i.e. Israel) scale and international scale (FP6, FP7, and H2020) programs. Within MostlyTek he has provided R&D and technical consultancy services to international projects including: the Technion Research and Development Foundation (TRDF), Create-Net (Italy), H.I.T - Holon Institute of Technology, Cellcom and several Israeli start-ups companies. This includes initiating and building collaborative projects with several leading academies, research institutes and Hi-Tech companies inside Israel and within the EU. MostlyTek provides comprehensive services that include both R&D and managing services focusing on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) area. These include initiation and technological leadership of EU projects from the first idea of proposal stage to the exploitation phase.
Dr. Ran is senior lecturer at H.I.T – Holon Institute of Technology since 2001. He serves also as an evaluator under Office of Chief Scientist since January 2015. Dr. Ran held, formerly, prominent management and technical positions including the head of research authority of H.I.T – Holon Institute of Technology [09-12] and leading MostlyTek contribution to CELTIC PLUS HOMESNET project [09-12]. During [06 – 08] Dr. Ran has led successfully a European consortium named UROOF consisting of 9 members from 6 EU states that won a grant of 2.2 M EU and served as the Project Manager and coordinator of this project.
Moshe served as the CTO of Portalium ventures [04-05], coordinator of A.Y.Y.T the H.I.T's technology transfer company [04-06], system architect at Vyyo Ltd. [02-03] and Chief Scientist of Telescicom Ltd. [98-01], broadband wireless technology house.
During 1994-1998 he was a project manager at Israel-Aircraft-Industry (IAI) responsible for the planning, development, production, testing and delivery to the customer of a large scale (over 25M$) Electro-Optical system. Prior to that, he led the national research communication LAB within ministry of defence, IDF Israel. In this position he represented state of Israel in several bi-national technological meetings.
Dr. Ran has been an active member in standard bodies and technology–related partnerships including: W-DSL, BWIF, IEEE802.16, ETSI/BRAN, WWRF (Wireless World Research Forum) and Israel short-range consortium (ISRC). Moshe is a senior member of IEEE. He published more than 50 papers and conference papers in the areas of error control coding, wireless communications and broadband wireless/wireline integration as well as many contributions to various standard committees.
Dr. Eitan (Peter) Omiyi, Algorithms team leader
Received his B.Eng. (first-class) degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Manchester, UK, in 1996 and his Ph.D. in wireless communications from the University of Leeds in 2001. After graduating, he worked as a researcher and technical consultant in several universities in the UK, Germany and the USA. Since 2016, he has been researcher and lecturer at the Holon Institute of Technology, Israel. Dr. Omiyi has extensive experience of innovation in 3G and 4G wireless communications and converged wireless (5G) technologies. He has filed over 7 patents, and has authored more than 20 papers in international journals and conferences. He has been involved in the WINNER and OPTIMIX European research projects, and a research project with the Israeli NEPTUNE consortium.
Dr. Dror Malka, Photonic Team Leader
received his BSc and MSc degrees in electrical engineering from Holon Institute of
Technology (HIT) in 2008 and 2010, respectively, Israel. He has also completed a BSc degree in Applied Mathematics at HIT in 2008 and received his PhD degree in electrical engineering from Bar-Ilan University (BIU) in 2015, Israel. Currently, he is a researcher in the faculty of engineering at HIT. His major fields of research are Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF), nanophotonics and super-resolution.
Dr. Malka has published around 16 refereed journal papers, 15 conference proceeding papers, and 2 book chapters.
Yaron Hazan, Information Communications leader
Holds an MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering and acts as a Wireless Communication Engineer with over a decade of development and research experience in the field of wireless communication systems with a strong emphasis on wireless communication systems such as WiMAX/WLAN/LTE based communication systems, including a proven record of delivering high end wireless systems from lab to successful commercial deployments. Successful experience in leading the development of small to large scale projects (more than $20M) in various management and engineering R&D positions, dealing with state of the art multi disciplinary systems in the data and telecommunications fields.
Einat Ran, COO, Usage scenario & specification
Received her B.a in Economy and funding from The Collage of management Israel at 2008 and her MBA in marketing from Ono institute Israel at 2010, also holds two certificates in investments adviser and pension adviser and worked at the largest investment house in Israel Meitav-Dash as an investment marketeer and specialized with working B2B in front of investment bankers and as data analysis at PlayTech LTD. Einat is also a certified Yoga teacher from Wingate institute, since 2011.
